The Power of Spiritual Warfare

  October 22, 2009

God has given us mighty weapons of warfare that we are going to find essential for life in the uncertain times in which we live. Many things are coming against God’s people, and indeed upon our entire nation, as freedom after freedom is being removed in the name of “fairness,” “protection” and “saving the earth.” Under the guise of these false precepts our constitution is being violated in almost every area. We can no longer trust in the laws and institutions that protected us in the past. We are going to have to fight for ourselves as individuals and as the body of Christ. God is placing spiritual weapons into our hands that we must learn to use with skill and with power.

We must use these weapons to enter into a new land of freedom that God has prepared for his faithful ones. In the past when a nation was overcome with wickedness, there was another country to flee to. For example, when Nazi Germany was practicing genocide against its people, some were able to flee across the border to Switzerland for safety. For decades the oppressed peoples of other nations could flee to America to find freedom and opportunity. With the things going on now, there is no more Switzerland or America to escape to, for all nations are coming under the terror and oppression of the Antichrist and his New World Order.

Taking Authority over Sickness

E-mail Print PDF
A strange thing happened in Rochester, NY in April. Many people I know came down with flu-like symptoms all on the same day. Everyone had aching muscles, sore throats, and eventually severe head colds. Those with weaker immune systems had to go on antibiotics. I didn’t get it, but the other two members of my household woke up sick the same morning. I received a phone call later that day stating that our church building and grounds manager was ill. The next day I learned that several more of our people, often whole families, had fallen ill on that day. Members of their extended families that didn’t attend our church were also sick. Why would so many people get sick on the same day? Usually sickness spreads more slowly through a family—one person gets it and a few days later someone else does. I’ve never seen so many people fall ill all at once.

Article 4: The Sin Nature and Sickness

God gives his people a wonderful promise in Psalm 103:2,3 where we read, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases…” Notice that the forgiveness of sin and healing of the body are mentioned together in one verse. Notice also the order in which they occur: the forgiveness of sin is first and healing of the body follows second.

Article 3: The Healing Power of the Imagination

E-mail Print PDF
There is tremendous healing power for our emotions and our body inherent in the Scriptures if we can truly believe them. Much of what we believe is only at an intellectual level with the truth seldom finding it’s way into the depths of our being. The written and spoken word reaches our intellect, but we need something more to reach our deepest emotions and our body. A mere intellectual assent to the Word will not help us in those parts of our being over which we have no control. Jesus wants to calm our fears and heal our bodies yet we often quote the scriptures and pray with seemingly no victory. This is because we have neglected the healing power of a God-inspired imagination that can bring Jesus, in a new dimension of healing power, to those uncontrollable parts of our being.

Article 2: Keys for Healing and Divine Health

In our previous article we were examining a wonderful passage about God’s promise for healing to His people found in Exodus 15:22-26.

“So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD showed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”
